Supervisor: Prof. Nguyen Pham Thuc Anh, HUST
Overview
Developed a deep learning–based fire detection system to guide the navigation of an autonomous firefighting robot. The system processes real-time camera feeds, identifies fire and smoke regions, and outputs directional guidance to the robot’s navigation stack.
Key Contributions
- Implemented and benchmarked YOLO and SSD object detection models for fire and smoke detection
- Deployed the inference pipeline on NVIDIA Jetson Nano for edge inference with real-time constraints
- Collaborated with the Robotics and AI Lab at HUST
